A tribute to an icon . . .

Sometimes, the little boy inside the man comes to the surface .  .  .

From time to time, my thinking takes me back to my early childhood, and Saturday mornings watching cartoons with my maternal grandmother .  .  .  My hands down favorite was the Bugs Bunny Show, with its cast of famous characters .  .  .  Bugs himself, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Sylvester, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Roadrunner, Wyle E Coyote, and Pepe Le Pew .  .  .  But, the biggest and best of them all was the rockin' rooster, Foghorn Leghorn .  .  .

Yeah, the Foggy One would terrorize the barnyard dog endlessly, charm the panties off Miss Prissy, teach her son to play baseball, and convince the neighborhood chicken hawk that the dog was really a chicken, so it would be Foghorn's partner in canine terrorism .  .  .  All that aside, I believe Foghorn is (he still lives!), underneath all his pomp and bluster, a very spiritually advanced, self-actualized being .  .  .  :)  How could he be otherwise?  He's also a sexy beast that likes to have fun, especially at a dog's expense .  .  .  He's the real deal, rooster-wise, and knows how to amuse himself!

So Foghorn, this tribute is for you my friend!  :)  I'll be laughing at you until my last day .  .  .

Life is beautiful .  .  .

Peace and love .  .  .

Ciao!!

I couldn't agree more, and also have very fond memories of Looney Tunes on Saturday mornings. I loved Foghorn Leghorn, but Yosemite Sam is probably my favorite.

Cheers,
Max

Oh yeah Max, ol' Yosemite but pretty darn funny . . . How did he not shoot all his toes off? But I have to say, I also have a soft spot for that hopelessly romantic Pepe! How can we NOT love a French skunk? Thanks for the comment Max . . . Ciao

OMG Snake, I LOVED, and still LOVE the Looney Tunes cartoons. However, Bugs is my all time favorite. Close seconds are the Taz and Tweety...

In truth, I love them all, still. And yes...I get all giddy and wide-eyed when I watch these cartoons again. Thanks for a walk down memory lane! Love, A.

I think everyone had their favorite LT characters . . . In truth, they are ALL classic . . . My feeling about Bugs is, how did he not turn orange with all those carrot? :) Thanks for your comment A, I truly appreciate every one of them! PS . . . Mel Blanc was a genius . . .

Yes, but how do you explain that little creature that gnaws on his leg?...that's just wrong...and disturbing. I think maybe Foghorn needs to introduce the creature to rat poison. Just a thought. xoxox

You mean the chicken hawk? Oh no, we can't kill him off . . . Foghorn's life would be dull without that little pest! Plus, he's Foghorn's partner in tormenting the dog . . . :) Ciao
