Choosing Generosity

Many of us consider ourselves to be generous . . . We give to charity, we volunteer our time and energy, we serve, we do good works . . . All those things are absolutely worthwhile, benefit mankind, and are life enhancing . . .

However, do we truly understand the POWER of generosity? Perhaps if we did, we would be even MORE generous than we are . . .

It all starts with generosity . . . Personal transformation can begin with a generous heart, and a generous nature . . . A gift given with a generous heart is a testament to the connection between all beings . . . We are truly ONE, and sharing reinforces that Oneness . . . In Western society, we experience such extreme separation . . . Many of us are deluded into thinking we're each an island, even though we have family and friends whom we love, and who love us . . . But that love often lacks the connectedness necessary to experience the Oneness, the true reality . . .

When we give, we are letting go of the hoarding, grasping quality many human beings exhibit. How many times have we encountered people who aspire to accumulate as much as they can? As much money, furniture, cars, clothing, you name it . . . And more to the point, how many times have WE personally seen that quality in ourselves?

Those who are truly generous are loved! Being truly generous means giving with a pure heart, with pure intention . . . Seeking nothing in return, giving perhaps anonymously, or giving but not doing so publicly so as to make a spectacle . . .

We give because it makes us feel good . . . And, it makes us feel good because it reinforces our connection with the person receiving, and therefore our Oneness with all beings . . .

And here are some other benefits . . . Nobody is likely to hate a person who is truly generous . . . Generosity given from love attracts love . . . The generosity of the pure heart sends a vibration into the Universe which is multiplied many times over, as that generosity encourages others to do the same . . .

Imagine an existence where every human being understands the power of generosity, and then acts upon it? Imagine the beauty of feeling connected to every other being, and they to us . . . THAT is beauty and it has POWER!! The true power of humanity harnassed for LIGHT!!
